I agree with forgiveness, and we need to forgive those who have wronged us in some way. But what about repentance? Is holding on to the sin of anger and bitterness something we need to be repentant of? Should we not be sorry for this sin of holding a grudge, and anger in our hearts. If we are only looking to the otherside or person, and not at our part, we will not be truely freed or given peace. Chirst is looking for a heart of repentence in us.
"Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord," Acts 3:19
If we repented when Christ called us unto Him, but pridefully hold on to bitterness now, how can God bless that? We are called to repent.
Isaiah 1:16
         Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean;
         Remove the evil of your deeds from My sight.
         Cease to do evil,
17Learn to do good;
         Seek justice,
         Reprove the ruthless,
         Defend the orphan,
         Plead for the widow.
18“Come now, and let us reason together,”
         Says the LORD,
         “Though your sins are as scarlet,
         They will be as white as snow;
         Though they are red like crimson,
         They will be like wool.

I was touched by the total artcle, of Ryan Dickson's courage to be the first to plead guilty to the charges against him and of Alvatar's courage to come forward and admit his own involvement in the riot and take the consequences. What a world we would have if there were more Ryans and Alvatars. It has changed me - I now look at the wrong things I have done and how my mind can scheme to make me the innocent party. I feel God talking to me through this article and I am changing little by little. Lots of contemplation on my plate today.

Best blog post yet. You really nailed it!
"Because in the end, the good news is not about what brand or version of Christianity is most liturgically pure or theologically correct. The good news has nothing to do with methodologies or technologies of our evangelism or worship or anything else. The world remains simply hungry for Jesus and it is the church, you and I, who are called to make the introduction and let the world see the Lord in us. That’s what loving Jesus is. And that is what being the church is." Amen and amen.

Keep up the awesome blog posts... I am really enjoying them and being challenged by them.

I think it was Tony Campolo who coined the phrase "if you ever find a perfect church, don't join it because you'll just ruin it."
