Healing & Support

Healing & Support

Compassion is at the heart of the Christian gospel – God’s compassion for us, which was most powerfully expressed in the gift of his son, Jesus.

Compassion should then be seen as the natural heart expression for the church, as we seek to live out the grace of Christ. Here in St. Andrew’s, we are forever astonished at the ways in which we find God calling and equipping us to live out the healing mercy and tender goodness of our Lord.

Compassion is what drives our heart for mission as well. St Andrew’s cares deeply that every person in this world would come to hear the gospel message and learn of the hope that can be found with Jesus

Supports for Personal Growth

Prayer

Concerns are upheld in prayer by a group of intercessors each Tuesday at 10:30 am. Please make your needs known by filling out the blue slip in the pew pocket or by calling the church office. Prayer times are available throughout the week, and anyone is welcome to join in.

Scripture Union

Understanding the Bible can be difficult, and to help you along with your devotions, Scripture Union Bible guides offer resources designed to suit various ages and needs. Contact the church office for more information.

Pastoral Counseling

Individual, marital, and family counseling is important and available for people at all ages and stages of life. A person-oriented, Christ-centered, pastoral counseling approach is offered to persons within the church and beyond.

Premarital Counseling

In response to the pressures that face today’s families, premarital counseling is provided for couples marrying through St. Andrew’s to help them begin marriage on a firm foundation.

Funerals

These are times that special care is needed. If you require support and assistance, help is only a phone call away.

For much of the past, the church provided resting-places for the dead in or around local buildings of worship as a continuing witness of our confident hope in the risen life that is found in Jesus Christ.

The Memorial Garden Columbarium of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church reclaims this ancient practice and with it the spirit of dignity and reverence for loved ones at rest within the communion of saints. The Memorial Garden Columbarium is located within our Prayer Garden in the northeast corner of our property.

May their souls and the souls of all the departed, through the mercy of God in Christ Jesus, rest in peace.
